Connect4Success

Transfer Admission

Are you planning on transferring to FIU from one of the Florida community or state colleges upon completion of your Associate in Arts degree? If so, we encourage you to explore FIU's Connect4Success program. Our FIU Connect4Success Program enhances Florida's 2+2 Pathway to Success Program. With the 2+2 program, once you complete an Associate's degree you are provided guaranteed admission into one of the 11 state universities, but not necessarily the one of your choice. With FIU's program, not only do we provide guaranteed admission to FIU, but we also provide workshops and personalized advising to get you on a clear pathway to university completion. Students who participate in the Connect4Success Program are more likely to make the transition to FIU than similar students who do not accept the invitation. If you earn the Associate in Arts within a 3-year timeframe, you will be provided automatic admission into FIU for completion of your last years of classes for a Bachelor's degree from FIU.

Visit the official Connect4Success website to learn more about the program's benefits, events, and to apply!

Transfer Advising

What makes Connect4Success a guided pathway is that students become transfer ready with support from FIU Bridge Advisors, who work together with college advisors, to ensure timely completion of the AA and bachelor’s degrees. Bridge Advisors help you become transfer ready, which means choosing a major early, staying on track to earning your AA degree, and completing prerequisites in your major so you can enroll in upper-division courses when you transition to FIU. Bridge Advisors are knowledgeable about FIU majors, minors, certificates, transition workshops, transfer scholarships, and much more. Bridge Advisors work closely with college advisors, who offer guidance on your academic/educational plan, career exploration, and registration.

Bridge Advisors are available at Broward College, Miami Dade College, and Palm Beach State College. Schedule an appointment via email or phone to secure availability. Out-of-area students may contact a Bridge Advisor by email or phone.

Get advised in-person at FIU at I-75 on Tuesdays with Esther Archange. You can make an appointment via her online scheduling tool, calling (954) 201-8325, or by sending an email to Esther.Archange@fiu.edu
